1. About the SMS program
Haddee sends tutoring-related text alerts to Teachers (Coaches) who opt in—for example, booking confirmations, cancellations, new booking requests, account-deletion cancellation summaries, and optional payout confirmations. Haddee also sends a one-time phone-verification code before opt-in. This is an account/transactional messaging program, not marketing.
- Teachers only. Only Teachers can receive texts. Students are never texted.
- Opt-in is optional. Enabling text alerts is not a condition of using the Service or of being a Teacher. You can use the Service fully without SMS (you'll still get in-app and email notices).
2. The number we text from (toll-free)
Messages are sent through Haddee's Twilio Messaging Service using a verified toll-free number. The sending/reply number is shown in the message or in Teacher notification settings. Reply STOP or HELP to that number. We do not use this program for marketing.
3. How to opt in (consent)
You can opt in during Teacher onboarding or later from Teacher notification settings. Opt-in requires:
- entering your mobile number and verifying it with a one-time code we text you; and
- submitting the on-screen consent control.
Teacher onboarding and notification settings both display, and the server records, this shared disclosure: “Get text alerts about your sessions (bookings, cancellations, booking requests). Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. By enabling, you agree to the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.” The Service also records the consent timestamp. The standard booking, cancellation, and booking-request categories turn on at initial consent; the payout category remains off until you select it. A failed consent write is shown as an error and must be retried; phone verification alone does not silently complete opt-in. ****
4. What we send (how the number is used)
We use the number only to send Teacher account/transactional alerts, which include:
- Verification & setup — your one-time phone-verification code and a subscription-confirmation message.
- Bookings — a new Session is booked or confirmed.
- Booking requests — a new booking proposal awaits your response.
- Cancellations — a Session is cancelled, including one consolidated notice if a Student account closes and its upcoming Sessions are cancelled.
- Payouts (opt-in) — your monthly payout was sent. This alert is off by default; you turn it on yourself in Settings.
The current SMS catalog does not include Session reminders, no-show inquiries, appeal decisions, marketing, or Student-facing texts. Recurring notification messages include STOP instructions; the subscription confirmation includes HELP and STOP. A one-time phone-verification code is an authentication message used before subscription and does not include recurring-program copy.
5. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your tutoring activity, booking requests, cancellations, and any selected payout alerts. There is no fixed number of messages. The Service also applies per-recipient rate limits to notification texts.
6. Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Haddee does not charge you for the texts, but your carrier may.
7. Opt out, help, and resubscribe
- Opt out: reply STOP (also STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) to any message to cancel text alerts. You'll receive one confirmation, then no further texts unless you resubscribe.
- Help: reply HELP for help, or email hello@haddee.com.
- Resubscribe: reply START (or YES/UNSTOP) to opt back in.
Twilio's Advanced Opt-Out service supplies the carrier confirmation/help reply, while Haddee's signed inbound webhook mirrors STOP and START state in the Service. A carrier STOP blocks all Haddee texts to that number, including authentication texts; the in-app switch cannot override it. Only a reply of START (or another supported resubscribe keyword) lifts that carrier block for a Teacher who previously consented.
You may also pause or resume an existing subscription in Teacher notification settings. An in-app pause does not remove the carrier block created by STOP. Opting out or pausing texts does not affect in-app or email notifications and does not close your account.
8. Carriers and delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device, and not all carriers may be supported. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered.
9. Privacy
Your mobile opt-in information and consent are not shared or sold to third parties for their marketing. Texts are delivered through Twilio. Haddee stores the verified number, consent text/time, preferences, opt-out/carrier state, queued message bodies, provider ids, and delivery status needed to operate and audit the program. See the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where required, notified to you.
